With the Dual SIM market being a lucrative affair, The Galaxy Core I8260 follows Samsung’s strategy right down to the fine print.
The Samsung Galaxy Core follows the same design Samsung has been using since inception of the Galaxy S III, The standard plastic pebble shaped curve body.
Coupled with the rounded edges, there's also an aluminum-acting plastic rim going around its sides.
The phone runs on Android 4.1 Jellybean and is powered by a Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A5 on a Snapdragon MSM8225 S4 Play chipset with 1 GB of RAM.
At 129.3 x 67.6 x 9 mm and weighing 124g, The Galaxy Core is still comfortable to hold.
The 4.3 inch WVGA screen has a display resolution of 480 x 800 pixels resulting in a pixel density of 217 ppi.

Camera and Multimedia

The Galaxy Core I8260 comes equipped with a 5MP camera that shoots stills at up to 2560 x 1920, Autofocus and a LED flash.
The camera comes with a host of features like geo-tagging, touch focus, smile shot, continuous shot, panorama and can snap photos during video recording and also records 720x480 pixel videos at 30fps.

Connectivity

The Samsung Galaxy Core has the standard set of connectivity features.
Quad-band 2G and dual-band 3G with 7.2Mbps HSDPA and 5.76Mbps HSUPA speeds.
The phone can also be used as Wi-Fi hotspot or 3G modem and also has Bluetooth 3.0 and micro-USB v 2.0(MHL) for file transferring and connecting with other devices.
Wi-Fi-direct which lets you transfer documents, images and files between friends comes with the Galaxy S Duos 2 as well.
As well as GPS the phone has a built-in A-GPS receiver that also works with GLONASS.
With both global positioning systems, you get more satellites available, which improves lock times and accuracy.
The phone also has the famous S-Voice feature, which can understand voice commands and follow actions such as increasing volume, searching contacts, calling a contact, And Google Now which handles things like sending messages, dialing voice calls, directions etc .
Google Now also launches apps, manages your calendar and looks for nearby places of interest.

Battery and Storage

The Galaxy Core I8260 comes with a standard 1800 mAH Li-Ion battery with an endurance rating of 49 hours and also offers talk time of 9 hours and standby time of 300 hours on 3G.
Storage is limited to 8GB of internal memory which can be further expanded to 64GB using a micro-SD card.
